Common questions.
- How does a custom project start?
- Send us the room, a rough measurement or a photo through the quote form. We'll ask a few questions, talk through options, then give you a clear description of the project and a firm price before anything is built.
- Does a quote cost anything?
- No. Quotes and the conversation that leads to them are free, with no obligation to move forward.
- How long does a project take?
- It depends on size and how booked the shop is. We give you a realistic window with your quote rather than a number we can't keep.
- What woods do you work with?
- Mostly domestic hardwoods — white oak, walnut, cherry, maple and ash — chosen to suit the piece and the room. We'll talk through species, color and finish before we start.
- Do you install built-ins?
- Yes. Built-ins are fitted on site, scribed to your walls and trim, and the space is left clean when we're done.
- Where do you work?
- We build in Tipp City, Ohio and work with homeowners in Dayton, Troy, Tipp City, Vandalia, Centerville, Springboro, Beavercreek and surrounding Ohio communities.
- Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
- Every piece is built from real hardwood. Natural variations in grain, color and texture are part of what makes each project one of a kind.
- Can I change something I've seen you build before?
- Almost always. Different length, different wood, a different base or finish — tell us what you'd change and we'll quote it.
